Application Walkthrough

In this video we will be going over our application process and the key things to remember when filling out the form.

Starting – we use a very easy to fill out application through jotform. It’s absolutely crucial for you to remember that YOU as the agent must fill out this application for the client. The form has been developed to capture any and all information needed – and clients don’t understand because they’re not trained on how to – so this will always lead to errors on the application that will either delay your deal or lose the deal.

My biggest piece of advice when you get to the application is slow down and take your time. Mistakes happen, but its more common when you’re rushing. And again, errors on the application lead to delays or lost deals – and more headache and time taken from you versus if you just took your time.

Your client should already be happy with the plan and basically closed – so don’t feel like you need to rush here.

The first thing you want to do is frame the application to the client. You say something along the lines of “Mr. Client – I want to frame the application for you before we get started, okay? 

To make you comfortable with giving any information – I want to let you know that we are partnered and follow HIPAA compliance laws. Which in simplicity means that any information on this application can not be shared to anyone else. Okay?

The first thing we will need is your demographic information. Things such as name, date of birth, and address.

The social is needed to 1. Make sure you are who you say you are and 2. Make sure you’re not making 3 million dollars a year and trying to use the government.

Next – if you have a spouse or dependent. We will also need their information, even if they’re not taking coverage – Again, to make sure you are not taking advantage of the discounts, the government needs to make sure that these are real people. – So please make sure you have that ready. (If they are married, have dependents, etc.)

Lastly, we will need your banking information. Your banking has to be a personal bank account, with a routing and account number – It cant be cashapp, Sutton bank, PayPal, etc.

So, Mr. Client – before moving forward I just want to make sure that you do have a real bank account, correct?

Perfect – lets get started!

Going through the application is pretty straight forward. It is just important that you get all of their information correctly, right – so its best practice to read back things like the DOB SSN routing and account, etc. to always double check before submitting.
